erty company that operates IHG, Marriott, Starwood, Wyndham, Hilton and Best Western flags, one of his first priorities was to find a sales system to centralize the company’s sales operation. He wanted to increase revenue and his sales team’s efficiency with the latest automated sales technology. Furlong travels between properties so he wanted a web-based solution that would enable him to oversee sales activity for all nine of Midas’ properties regardless of his location.

Real-time information for nine properties at one URL simplifies management
Furlong uses hotel SalesPro to manage his entire team’s sales activities, coordinate group room bookings, and monitor business in all Midas’ properties. He also tracks sales-call and follow-up activity, account traces, contracts, and frequently pulls reports that show his team’s activity to ensure everyone is on pace to meet their goals. “My team can quickly download bid and proposal details and efficiently merge them into Midas’ own contracts, all within the system. This saves valuable time and helps close deals faster,” Furlong said.

“From the Midas enterprise perspective, I like hotel SalesPro’s web-based platform because I can access information on my hotels wherever I am,” said Furlong “The system saves me time because I only need one password to log on to all my hotels at once. I do not have to sign-in for each property database.” The enterprise roll-up reports hotel SalesPro provides are especially valuable for managing multiple hotels.

I merge all my contracts and proposals directly from the hotel sales software to our own formats which cuts down on the time I spend on administration so I can focus on selling. The system manages all my sales activities.”

hotel SalesPro produces more than 150 reports that provide comprehensive information to manage all areas of Midas’ business. “The standard reports are excellent,” said Furlong. “But, if I need to see our information in a different format, I can propose my ideas to the company and they evaluate my suggestions and add the functionality if other users might benefit from it,” Furlong said “The reports can also be exported in PDF or Excel”.

Midas currently has hotel SalesPro implemented at four properties and expects to roll it out to all nine in 2011. “The hotel SalesPro solution has proven to be an excellent sales tool, not only because of its capabilities, but from a training perspective. My team is busy selling and because hotel SystemsPro provides a variety of online training tools, our sales people have the flexibility to take pre-recorded training whenever they choose, or to join a live webinar which allows plenty of interaction. The training is broken down into short sessions about a specific topic. hotel SalesPro’s support is very professional and they are domestic so we get fast resolutions,” said Furlong. “Based on our success with hotel SalesPro we are currently beta testing the hotel ServicePro guest service and online maintenance optimization system from hotel SystemsPro. Midas is also evaluating the company’s hotel WebSpace solution that increases business by associating hotels with regional events in their local market.”
